Book Giveaway: How about a little romance?

How about two free books? I received both these free when I visited a writer's group--Heart of Dixie Romance Writers of America Chapter 51. The chapter meets in our museum that is four blocks from my home.

The books have never been opened.  I don't read Harlequin books except for the time I accidentally read one. I didn't know it was a Harlequin and still hated it. Andrea Laurence's book has been signed. These are of good enough condition that they make almost pristine gifts.

These seem to be the perfect giveaway right before Valentine's Day. You can check off one or two more gifts for your stash that sits and waits for birthdays or Christmas. Of course, it will make a nice gift for Valentine's Day. Maybe you would rather read it yourself.

This will be simple~~leave a comment every day right here on this post. The contest will end on January 11, 2014, at 11:59 pm. You must join my blog!

For another entry, mention this on your blog and leave a link in the comments on this post.

Tomorrow, I will be mailing pizza coupons.

Your turn
For your comment to enter, make the comment something about Valentine' Day. Do you like to get a heart-shaped box of candy? I do. How do you like to celebrate with your Valentine? Or, just tell me anything about Valentine's Day that you would like to tell. Oh, did you like the Valentine exchange when you were young? I loved it.

    1. j,
Come back everyday to enter again and again. I will put a link in the next posts.

Thanks. I will just keep having giveaways, using things I have that I keep because they are too good to trash, don't want to donate, want to go to my blog friends.

  2. I'm not entering the giveaway (not a fan of those type novels), but as for my take on Valentine's Day..

I always enjoyed it. It was me and Dad's thing. He'd get me a stuffed animal, card, and/or candy. I liked the cards best.. something handwritten from Dad was always important. I know my ex got me a few things, nothing that stood out. I think it was a chore for him. As for the "new" BF and I, it's our first Valentine's Day together. We agreed on him making me dinner, I'm in charge of dessert, and an exchange of cards. I ♥ the card I got him, it's a 'Mad Libs' card! Neat, eh? And I'm making homemade (soft) PB cookies. Shhhh! I didn't put this on my blog yet in case he reads it.

P.S. Not a huge fan of heart-shaped candy boxes cuz I don't like most of the choices, especially the coconut filled chocolates, YUCK. And I HATE those hard candy hearts, ewww.

    1. We won't tell him anything...lol.

I love the heart-shaped boxes of candy. However, the brand and type of candy matters, too. Actually, I just love the candy. I could do without the box. But, I do love to look at them in the store, not with longing, just enjoying the rows of hearts..

  3. Renoman and I met Valentines Day weekend 22 years ago. It was at a single adult conference put on by our church. Wasn't that a romantic time to hold such a romantic event?

  4. Harlequin and romance, two things I never read. Joe asked what I wanted for Valentine's Day and I screamed "NOTHING!" As you know by now, I'm a rebel against mandatory dates on the Calendar.

How's the gall bladder coming along?

    1. lotta joy,
Keep rebelling. Gall bladder keeps reminding me that it is there and unhappy. Thanks for asking.

  5. We, husband and I, don't celebrate Valentines Day but this year it will mark our 28th wedding anniversary. Here in Australia VD is on the 14th, is it the same date everywhere else? As for a box of chocolates, heartshaped or otherwise...they are welcome here any day.

    Barb.

    1. Valentine's is Feb. 14, here, too. Oh, year, bring on the chocolate. Any day is okay for chocolates. I just don't sit around and whine for the heart box.

  6. Tomorrow will be the 31st anniversary of our first date. For hubby's gift I took a photo on vacation last summer of a heartshaped grouping of tiny mussels on a rock. I enlarged it and wrote with a photo pen a love note. I still have to get a frame. I love snuggling on the sofa with him, popcorn and a great movie.

Okay, hoping the annoyances have gone away.
